Personal statement    

Stockmarr’s work has storytelling and repurposing at its heart. A materials-led artist, book and record covers and old envelopes are her starting point. Apertures are cut and ephemera collaged in layers. She creates ‘Face Books’, ‘Picture Books’, ‘Alphabetical Encyclopaedias’, ‘Letters’, ‘LPs’, and ‘7” Singles’. All are made from original found ephemera and each piece carries her signature, playful embellishments.      

She has had artworks accepted into the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in 2018, ‘A Stirring Book for Girls’, 2024, ‘E is for Extinction’ and ‘K is for Knowledge’, and has been shortlisted for the 2026 Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.           

She exhibits nationally and internationally.
